Lou Alice Funk, CPA, MBA

Lou Alice has over 27 years experience in accounting and financial management, working with healthcare, retail, service and non-profit entities.  In addition to public accounting, her experience includes internal audit and senior executive-level corporate financial management, as CFO of a $100-million medical center.  She has extensive experience in the oversight of accounting functions, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable/billing, cost accounting, budgeting and cash management.  Her experience also includes investment portfolio management, capital acquisition and debt structuring, and regulatory compliance.  She has been a leader in information technology strategic planning, feasibility analysis, and implementation of new business lines. 

Lou Alice performs compilation and review of financial statements, and oversees bookkeeping, payroll, sales and business tax reporting functions.   She assists clients with issues related to business setup and management, budgeting and planning, and feasibility analysis related to new and existing lines of business.  Her experience includes tax planning and preparation for individuals, partnerships, corporations, LLCs, estates, trusts, and other entities. 

Lou Alice is a Series 7 and Series 63 licensed Registered Representative with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). 

 She works closely with financial planners to assist clients with choosing appropriate retirement plans and with meeting other investment needs.

Lou Alice earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting (Cum Laude) and her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University.  She was a founding principal of Companion CPA Group, PC in 2000.
